Festival Must Haves

In 2 days I will be flying out to Alicante to catch a coach to Benicassim, Valencia, to pitch a tent up at 1:30am in the pitch black AND I CAN’T WAIT.

Once there, I will subject my ears to the beautiful sounds of Bob Dylan, Noel Gallagher, Flo, and Maverick Sabre etc etc etc. It’s going to be my first ever festival, can you believe it? 21 years on this planet and 2 hours down the road from Leeds(fest) and I’ve never partaken in any UK/local/northern festival, yet I’m jetting off to Europe to do just that!

I love camping, as a child my family had a large trailer tent (we sound like gypsy’s! Haha) that we used to take all over the place and rough it, kinda. So I’ve never feared a soggy pitch up, leaky tents, rustling sleep bags or waiting for the beans to heat on the gas, so I have no idea as to why I haven’t indulged in a sloppy British festival. However, I have no doubt in my mind that choosing the Spanish sun over any other festivals is in anyway a bad decision!

So, as a festival newbie, and making it probably more difficult for myself due to the heat, I’ve compiled a small list of beautystaples:

  • Dry shampoo
  • Deodorant
  • Baby wipes
  • BB cream/tinted moisturiser
  • 30 day mascara (do it prior to festival then no mascara or eyebrow pencil is needed!)
  • Vaseline (lips, dry skin and lash/brow shaping!)

This is based on an au natural approach to festival living, I don’t wear much make up as it is – so this is ample for the hot Spanish days that are so, so close!

What would you take to a festival in the sun? Is there a difference between UK based festival staples and others?

Here’s my first draft of my everything list. I hear you, first draft? 2 days before? That is very unlike me! I’m usually more prepared than Monica Gellar.

Anything missing?

  1. Omg where do you get 30 day mascara from?! Why have I never heard of this?! I’m off to latitude on Thursday and haven’t camped in over 12 years- eeek!!
Hope you have an amazing time love! 🙂 xx

  2. I’m doing basically the same thing in Portugal! i’d recommend a sarong, you can sleep under it if it’s hot and use it on the beach because it dries much quicker than a towel 🙂
