Christmas Sale Haul

More bad editing, fast talking and hideous lighting, you guys love my posts dont you! on a serious note, I am really happy with what I bought in the sales/not in the sales! This has turned out to be one of my fave vlogs as I made myself laugh in it several times (edited a lot of it out though!)

Hope you guys take some inspiration/enjoy the video.

Versace for H&M

I posted about this collaboration a week or so before it was due to launch in the UK. I spoke about my excitement, lust and total envy of anyone who gets their hands on a piece from the range. I was comforted by the fact that no one I know was going to the launch or intending on buying from the range (we are hideously poor students after all, so hideous that we can event afford £14.99 belt by the one and only Versace, sad I know) that was when my friend popped up just days before the launch telling me that she will be in London over that weekend (?!!?!)

Well I tell you, if we weren’t such good friends I probably would have jeopardised her trip. Since she values me and our friendship so much (she’ll moan at me for making our friendship seem one way..) she took it upon herself to take photos for me to blog about! So I share with you now the experience I wanted first hand but had via iPhone photography, enjoy!

After looking at these you’re probably insanely jealous if you didn’t go, or if you did; reminiscing over the best, affordable collab you’ve ever seen! I’ve got to say even through imagery I am impressed, everything from the mannequins, shop fixtures and velvet hangers looks totally divine! I am huuugely disappointed that I missed out on this and I’m hoping that I will get my hands on something from the AW11 range, if not I’ve always got SS12 to look forward to for their next collaboration!

Big Thanks to!/emmalouisewilso for suppying the photos, you lucky Bfdjsf4 🙂

Last night my flat mate came in asking to have a nose around
my wardrobe to see if there is anything in there that she could wear out later that
night, and that’s when I rediscovered this pastel pink wrap around style top. I
bought it from H&M around a year ago when I went through a phase of finding
my inner professional (Pah! Although I think I have found her, I’ve always felt
mumsy in this so my aim is to make this look HOT) so with us both dismissing this as not suitable clubbing wear and deciding it’s more of a ‘meal with the in laws/romantic date night’ kind of top. (This was a good 8 minute conversation of potential places and situations) that night I decided I’ve got to find some use for this item since it’s never been worn!

My first attempt was a casual chic look for everyday life, wearing the H&M top with a simple sheer cami underneath; taking away the low plunging neck and making it wearable for any occasion. I’ve teamed these with leopard print leggings to use as the statement element and to create a playful look, to finish off Ive used heavy bangles and vintage green slipper shoes.

Im a big believer in digging out your old clothes, bringing them back to life with new pieces, contrasting or just creating great big clashes!

Ive been talking about this collab forever and here it is!
so I thought I’d do a quick post on it (I know, I know, it’s long overdue!!)

Its a gorgeous range filled with vibrant colours, prints,
silks, sequin and stud detail. Versace really has pulled out all the stops for
this affordable line. Prices start at a mere £24.99 !Which is very generous for
such beautiful pieces.

To look at, the garments scream £££ but at a closer look I
think the high street vibe is evident, all pieces are very bold but they are definitely
wearable. Ive got my eye on the black silk bustier with the orange
oriental-esque print!

h&m orange slim fit jumper

river island swing skirt

new look leopard print ankle boots

h&m hair bow

As many of you may have noticed through my copious amounts of tweets; I had an interview at topshop a few days ago (and got the job, yey!) and I thought I’d share with you what I wore (its what i’m wearing right now,ha) As Im a bit of a high street fiend I went all out and wore a budget outfit head to toe, I think the total cost was just under £60.

(shoe photos are hard to take and cringe worthy, apologies)

What you may notice is that none of it is topshop! I felt so naughty, but I didn’t want to be the typical cliché girl who turns up in layer upon layer on topshop items and hurray it worked!

PS, I wore the huge bow on my shirt collar for the interview not in my hair, as picture below (pre interview photo, I was super nervous)
